Summary
The act authorizes the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environment Control (DNREC) to regulate hazardous waste and create a program to manage sources of hazardous waste. The act includes sources that generate, store, transport, treat or dispose of hazardous wastes.
The DNREC's Division of Waste and Hazardous Substances was developed for the management of hazardous waste under the provisions of this act. The division operates numerous programs to meet the requirements of the act.
