Summary

Concord Municipal Light Plant (CMLP) offers its residential customers rebates on energy-efficient appliances through the Appliance Rebate Program. Rebates are available for Energy Star refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dishwashers, room air conditioners, and dehumidifiers. The application form can be found on the program website with program requirements. All applications should be accompanied by a sales receipt showing the make and model of the appliance.

Concord Municipal Light also offers rebates for central air conditioners. The rebate amount is determined by capacity and varies depending on the efficiency of the model. In order to qualify, models must be rated at least EER 11. To get the rebate, customers must mail the completed application form and a copy of the paid invoice (invoice must contain size, make, and model data). The rebate will be issued in the form of a credit on the customer’s account.

CMLP's Electric Heat Weatherization Program allows for customers to have up to 40% of weatherization costs covered by a rebate. A residential energy audit must have recently been performed on the house (2 years prior, or less) in order to be eligible. Measures included are ceiling, floor, and wall insulation, duct/pipe insulation, HVAC duct sealing, and general air sealing. The maximum rebate amount is $1,000. Rebates will be made available after a post-installation inspection and buyers' receipts or paid invoices are sent to CMLP. For more details, check out the program web site listed above.
