Vertical Electrical Sounding Configurations:
A vertical electrical sounding (VES) is a DC resistivity survey which provides information regarding the change in apparent resistivity with depth. A quantitative interpretation of the results from VES measurements enable determination of the parameters for the geoelectric section.

Field Procedures
Electrical sounding measurements are obtained by gradually increasing the electrode spacing in a DC resistivity survey about a fixed central point.[1]
