Stepover or Relay Ramp in Normal Fault Zones

Stepover or relay ramps are a type of displacement transfer structure between overlapping normal fault segments. Multiple intersections between the overlapping fault strands results in increased fracture density that enhances hydrothermal fluid flow.[2]
