Parabolic trough

A solar energy conversion device that uses a trough covered with a highly reflective surface to focus sunlight onto a linear absorber containing a working fluid that can be used to spin a turbine for electricity generation; with a single-axis sun-tracking system, the configuration of a parabolic trough can track the sun from east to west during the day.
