Exploration Basis

Conceptual models are the basis of any exploration or development activities. Many Conceptual models of Dixie Valley have been made and they have been evolving and becoming more complex over the years.

Notes

This model was based on a seismic reflection line and gravity data. The model was coauthored by the main author of the 1967 model, that model was also based on largely on seismic reflection data. The model shows a single normal fault that runs between the Stillwater Range and the geothermal area.
