Summary

This program has been discontinued We Energies offers an incentive for non-profit and government customers within its service territory that wish to install solar hot water systems*. The program acts as a matching rebate for qualified solar water heating projects that receive funding from the state Focus on Energy Solar Water Heating Cash Back Rewards Program.

In order to be eligible for a rebate, the applicant must be a not-for-profit, school or government We Energies electric customer and systems must displace fuels or electricity and comply with all related Focus on Energy equipment and installation requirements. Applicants must receive a rebate approval from Focus on Energy and submit this approval along with their We Energies application in order to receive a rebate. An organization may receive incentives from We Energies for only one solar water heating system per year. We Energies will issue the incentive payment upon receiving notice from Focus on Energy that the project is completed and all invoices have been paid in full.

*This program is only intended to support solar water heating systems. It will not support systems designed to produce heat for other purposes (e.g., steam for space heating).
