Exploration Activity: Tracer Testing At Neal Hot Springs Geothermal Area (U.S. Geothermal Inc., 2012)

Exploration Activity Details
Location Neal Hot Springs Geothermal Area
Exploration Technique Tracer Testing
Activity Date 2013 - 2013

Usefulness not indicated
DOE-funding Unknown

Exploration Basis
A tracer testing program was initiated in order to map the flow of geothermal fluids through the reservoir and incorporate the data into the numerical reservoir model for a more accurate understanding of the geothermal system.

Notes
Colorimetric tracer testing began on January 10th 2013. Separate tracers were added into the three largest injection wells. Sampling from the production wells was planned to take place for 30-45 days after the tracers were injected.
