Exploration Activity: Thermal Gradient Holes At Neal Hot Springs Geothermal Area (U.S. Geothermal Inc., 2010)

Exploration Activity Details
Location Neal Hot Springs Geothermal Area
Exploration Technique Thermal Gradient Holes
Activity Date 2009 - 2010

Usefulness useful
DOE-funding Unknown

Exploration Basis
A program to drill small diameter thermal gradient wells was initiated to acquire field data to better understand the geothermal resource potential.

Notes
Ten small diameter temperature gradient wells have been drilled ranging in depth from 152-607 m. These wells were drilled across the Neal Hot Springs area in order to gather more information about the geothermal resource and create a comprehensive reservoir model. Three more thermal gradient wells were planned to be drilled at the time of these reports.
