This policy is no longer active. In 2013 the Technology Utilization Program will be absorbed into the new Business Development Fund.
The Technology Utilization Program assists Newfoundland and Labrador businesses with increasing its technology capacity to improve business processes, product quality, efficiency and competitiveness. The program also enables businesses to utilize technology to become energy efficient and reduce its emissions.
The program provides non-repayable contributions normally up to 80% of the project’s total eligible costs to a maximum of $75,000 per project.
Eligible activities include: • The introduction, modiﬁcation or replacement of technology (including machinery and equipment and software) that provides signiﬁcant beneﬁt to a business’s operational processes, production or product quality • Introducing technology to support green initiatives • Technology transfer, including professional expertise and technical training
Financial assistance is available to Newfoundland and Labrador based corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorships, co-operatives and business networks.
