In response to a request by several state … In response to a request by several state public utility commissions (PUCs) and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissions, NREL commissioned development of the CREST models from Sustainable Energy Advantage (SEA). The models were designed to enable PUCs and the renewable energy community assess projects, design cost-based incentives (e.g., feed-in tariffs), and evaluate the impact of tax incentives or other support structures. Three CREST models are available: Solar, Wind and Geothermal.are available: Solar, Wind and Geothermal.
