South Korea-ANL Distributed Energy Resources and Demand Side Management

Jump to: navigation, search

Distributed Energy Resources and Demand Side Management in South Korea: Argonne National Laboratory is part of a team that assists the Korean government in analyzing the economic and environmental benefits of distributed resources and demand side management (DSM). DSM has the potential to reduce consumer costs, reduce peak load, and thereby lower the investment needs in generation and transmission capacity. Depending upon the type of technology and fuel used to meet the peak and off-peak loads, it has the added benefit of reducing carbon and sulfur dioxide emissions.[1]
