Summary

This chapter of the Massachusetts General Laws governs the operation of solid waste facilities. It seeks to encourage sustainable waste management practices and to mitigate adverse effects, such as mercury release, from solid waste disposal. Included are regulations pertaining to combustion of waste. Regulations pertaining to this chapter can be found in 310 CMR 16.00 (site assignment) and 19.00 (facility regulations).
