Solar Energy Assessment for Community Energy Planning (Webinar)

Jump to: navigation, search
This video reviews three different methods of assessing solar resources at a site so viewers will better understand the citing and planning process. A multi-step approach is used to ensure accuracy of data. First, solar resource mapping is used to identify communities where deployment of solar panels will be economical. Second, light detection and ranging is used to map communities to determine the best places to install panels in that community. Third, a site visit is made to ensure each site is individually assessed and to calculate return on investment.
