Exploration Activity: Soil Sampling At North Brawley Geothermal Area (Alan & G., 1977)
|Exploration Activity Details|
|Location||North Brawley Geothermal Area|
|Exploration Technique||Soil Sampling|
|Activity Date||1976 - 1977|
Soil and plant sampling was done in the known geothermal areas throughout Imperial Valley for environmental monitoring and elemental analysis.
The North Brawley, Heber, and East Mesa Geothermal Areas under went a soil and vegetation sampling study. The samples were analyzed for element quantities to establish a baseline. Significant differences in levels of zinc were noted between each site. Samples from the North Braley area were taken at least a half mile from any drill hole sites.
