Self Potential At Blue Mountain Geothermal Area (Fairbank Engineering Ltd, 2003)
Exploration Activity: Self Potential At Blue Mountain Geothermal Area (Fairbank Engineering Ltd, 2003)
|Exploration Activity Details|
|Location||Blue Mountain Geothermal Area|
|Exploration Technique||Self Potential|
|Activity Date||1996 - 1998|
The purpose of this survey was to locate areas of shallow geothermal activity which could be linked to faults that serve as pathways for geothermal fluids.
This survey was conducted on the western flank of Blue Mountain. SP Profile lines totaled about 44.3 km, covering an area of 11 km^2. The survey revealed two wide en-echelon, elongated north-south directed low SP anomalies. The anomalies had a minimum value of -268 mV.
