Vermont Hydropower Pre-Existing Land Use Assessment(13-VT)

In Vermont, a hydropower developer must consider the location and land use designations on certain land before constructing a hydroelectric project. For instances a developer may need to obtain a Wetland Permit for projects that disturb a significant wetland or a Flood Hazard and River Corridor Permit for projects located in flood hazard area or river corridor.
