Tennessee Hydropower Transmission & Interconnection(8-TN)

In Tennessee, a hydropower developer should consult local zoning regulations during the transmission siting process. A developer may need a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity from the Tennessee Public Utility Commission for certain transmission projects. Although Tennessee does not have an interconnection process, a developer may need to follow the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) interconnection process for a project that connects to facilities owned and operated by the TVA.
