Ohio Hydropower Pre-Existing Land Use Assessment(13-OH)

In Ohio, a hydropower developer must consider the location and land use designations on certain land before constructing a hydroelectric project. A developer may need to obtain a Coastal Zone Consistency Certification from the Ohio Office of Coastal Management, within the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, to ensure compliance with the Coastal Zone Management Act and Ohio’s Coastal Management Program.
