Journal Article: Present Situation And Future Of Utilization Of Geothermal Energy In China

Abstract
From the 1970s, the Chinese government increased investment in the development of geothermal resources and other new energy, and some experimental geothermal power stations have been built successfully. In the late 1980s, the exploration of high temperature geothermal resources was increased. Geothermal fluid with temperatures over 200 degrees C was measured in several boreholes. In ZK4002 well, Yangbajing, the temperature is even as high as 329.8 degrees C By the year 2010, several geothermal powerplants with high temperatures and great capacity will be built, so that great advances will be made in the development of geothermal energy in China.
