"Project Planning for Climate Change (PlanCC) has been designed with the participation of public, private and nongovernmental under the leadership of a Government Steering Committee, chaired by the Ministry of Environment and integrated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the National Center for Strategic Planning (CEPLAN), coordination is the responsibility of Dragonfly and has financial support from the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) , and the Climate and Development Alliance (CDKN). The project is part of the MAPS program, a collaboration between developing countries (South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru) to support the establishment of an evidence base useful for long-term transition to solid economies 'consistent with the climate'."1
Progress and Outcomes
Capacity building activities include preparation of GHG inventories, enhancing capacity for implementing LEDS, multisectoral dialogue to share and analyse data, and revealing common priorities. Identified capacity building needs include the importance of multisectoral dialogue, building trust in the data and information, and understanding the different long term modeling techniques and skills and how to apply these in Peru.
