Summary

These regulations apply to activities conducted for the purpose of obtaining geological, geophysical, or geochemical information about oil or gas including seismic activities but excluding exploratory well drilling or aerial surveys. Such exploration for oil or gas must be registered with the Commissioner of Environmental Protection; requirements for registration are listed in these regulations. The regulations also discuss well drilling activities and abandonment requirements.
