Each state and territory has designed its own program. Rebates will be available until the state program's funding is exhausted. Be sure to confirm that rebate funds are still available in your state before making purchasing decisions. This program started March 26th at 8:00 am.
Ohio's residential energy efficiency rebate program provides incentives to homeowners who replace older, less efficient appliances with ENERGY STAR appliances. The old appliances must be recycled according to state regulations. When purchasing an eligible appliance, proof of Ohio residency will be required.
Consumers should reserve their rebate for each appliance BEFORE purchasing the appliance. The reservations are accepted online at OhioApplianceRebate.com or via telephone at 1-888-686-8896. After reserving the rebate, the consumer must purchase the appliance within three days from a participating vendor. On-line purchases are not qualified. To receive the rebate payment, the consumer must provide their reservation number, the receipt of purchase as well as provide proof of recycling of the old appliance.
