Summary

Under the New or Expanding Industries Tax Credit, property used by certain new or expanding industries is eligible for reduced taxable valuation (up to 50% of their taxable value for the first 5 years) during the first 9 years after construction or expansion. Industry includes firms that engage in a variety of activities, including the production of renewable energy.
