Report: National Instrument 43-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects

Abstract

The National Instrument was developed by the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) through reformulation of:

  • National Policy Statement No. 2 - A "Guide for Engineers, Geologists and Prospectors Submitting Reports on Mining Properties to Canadian Provincial Securities Admonistrators"
  • National Policy Statement No. 22 - "Use of Information and Opinion Re Mining and Oil Properties by Registrants and Others", and recommendations of the Final Report of the TSE-OSC Mining Standards Task Force.
NI 43-101 came into force in early 2001, and established standards for all public disclosure an Issuer makes of scientific and technical information concerning mineral properties/projects.
