National Grid (Narragansett) offers a variety of rebates for Energy Star products. Their New Construction program offers incentives and technical support to help their customers who are building an Energy Star home. Energy Star rebates are also offered for lighting, clothes washers, room AC, central AC, heat pumps and heating systems. Rebates range in prices from $2 for light bulbs to $300 for a heating system. More information regarding participating dealers, product catalogs, and rebate applications for various incentives may be accessed through the program website.
The National Grid (Narragansett) Energy Wise program also offers free home energy audits to all residential customers, condominium associations, and apartment building owners. Through this program, incentives and low-interest loans are available to help pay for improved insulation and the installation of ENERGY STAR lighting, refrigerators, and windows. The type of assistance offered varies based on the heating fuel and the number of units in the facility. Customers should contact an Energy Wise representative for more detailed information.
