Exploration Activity: Modeling-Computer Simulations At Dixie Valley Geothermal Area (Wisian & Blackwell, 2004)
|Exploration Activity Details|
|Location||Dixie Valley Geothermal Area|
|Exploration Technique||Modeling-Computer Simulations|
|Activity Date||2004 - 2004|
These models were produced as a simulation for any generic basin and range geothermal system.
Steady state, two dimensional models were made to evaluate the effect of permeability and variations in structure on a generic basin and range geothermal reservoir. Structure, heat input, and permeability were variable used in the numerical models. Dixie valley was used as a case study to compare to the generic models.
