From Open Energy Information

Exploration Activity: Micro-Earthquake At North Brawley Geothermal Area (Hauksson, Et Al., 2012)

Exploration Activity Details
Location North Brawley Geothermal Area
Exploration Technique Micro-Earthquake
Activity Date 1981 - 2011
Usefulness useful regional reconnaissance
DOE-funding Unknown

Exploration Basis
Historic earthquake data was refined to improve earthquake locations. The information is routinely recorded by the Southern California Seismic Network (SCSN).

Notes
Over the course of 30 years 502,000 earthquakes were recorded and cataloged by the Southern California Seismic Network (SCSN). This information is regional and does not focus on North Brawley, however microseismic events that occurred in North Brawley were catalogued, so that the data is available to be used for a more localized studies.
