|Technology Description|| The WavePlane is a V-shaped design, which is anchored with the head up against the incoming waves. Below the waterline the device is fitted with an artificial beach, which is designed to improve the capture of wave energy. The WavePlane is symmetrical in its construction. Each side captures the water from the waves of various heights. The device splits the oncoming waves with a series of intakes, known as lamellas, which guide the captured water into a 'flywheel tube.' The fast moving vortex that is formed then forces the water across two turbines, which are located at the ends of the two 'V-shaped legs'. Finally the water is discharged back into the ocean.
