Description

The M3 Sonar is a 2D multibeam system with imaging and profiling capabilities. The M3 Sonar provides high-resolution and easy to interpret images by combining the rapid refresh rate of conventional multibeam sonar with image quality comparable to a single-beam sonar.

"The software sometimes has trouble connecting to the instrument after a power cycle, but once it is connected it is fairly robust and I haven't had many issues. Currently, the software only streams beamformed data over TCP/IP (no raw data). Kongsberg also provides a Matlab toolbox for reading/processing data, which is helpful. Because the software performs beamforming before streaming the data, the data stream (TCP/IP) from the instrument is only accessible by other applications when the software is running." cannot be used as a page name in this wiki.
