Kentucky Power's High Efficiency Heat Pump Program offers a $400 rebate to residential customers living in existing (site-built) homes who upgrade electric resistance heating systems with a new, high efficiency heat pump. The new unit must have a SEER rating equal to or greater than 13 and an HSPF equal to or greater than 7.7. Customers who chose to upgrade current electric heat pump units with an ultra-high efficiency heat pump unit may also qualify for the $400 rebate if the new unit has a SEER rating equal to or greater than 14 and an HSPF equal to or greater than 8.2. A $50 HVAC Tune-Up rebate is also available to residential and small commercial customers.

Newly constructed mobile homes may also receive a $500 incentive for adequately insulating the structure and installing an efficient heat pump.
