Summary

Kentucky Power's High Efficiency Heat Pump Program offers a $400 rebate to residential customers living in existing (site-built) homes who upgrade electric resistance heating systems with a new, high efficiency heat pump. The new unit must have a SEER rating equal to or greater than 13 and an HSPF equal to or greater than 7.7. Customers who chose to upgrade current electric heat pump units with an ultra-high efficiency heat pump unit may also qualify for the $400 rebate if the new unit has a SEER rating equal to or greater than 14 and an HSPF equal to or greater than 8.2. A $50 HVAC Tune-Up rebate is also available to residential and small commercial customers.

In addition, Kentucky Power offers the Mobile Home Heat Pump Program, a $400 incentive for existing residential customers who live in a mobile home and upgrade electric resistance heating systems with a new, high efficiency heat pump unit featuring a SEER rating equal to or greater than 13 and an HSPF equal to or greater than 7.7. Newly constructed mobile homes may also receive a $500 incentive for adequately insulating the structure and installing an efficient heat pump.

Discounts on energy efficient CFL and LED lighting are available through Kentucky Power's online lighting store. For more information on lighting and HVAC incentives, contact Kentucky Power or visit the program web site.
