This statute establishes a comprehensive water quality program which includes education, monitoring, technical assistance, incentives, and more efficient permitting procedures. The program also provides for the preservation and establishment of wetlands. The program is mainly geared towards the agricultural sector, but some elements may apply to other land use developments. The website of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources has a list of approved watershed management plans.
