About

"Humane Society International is one of the only international animal protection organizations in the world working to protect all animals—including animals in laboratories, farm animals, companion animals, and wildlife—and our record of achievement demonstrates our dedication and effectiveness.

HSI supports programs in many countries around the world, and maintains offices in Australia, Belgium (Europe office), Canada, Costa Rica (Latin America office), India, the United Kingdom and the United States (The HSUS)."

International Efforts

International efforts include a spay/neuter program in Bhutan, a moving veterinary clinic for animals on the streets in Haiti, campaigns against factory farming in Mexico, improving farming practices in Brazil, and biodiversity conservation efforts in China.

Climate-Related Programs

"The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change brings together key decision-makers from environmental and agricultural departments of countries throughout the world. Therefore, it provides a unique opportunity for HSI to advocate for policies and programs worldwide that discourage the spread of factory farming and instead support sustainable, animal welfare-friendly, and equitable food systems."
