Summary

The Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Act requires the Department of the Environment to publish and update an inventory of statewide greenhouse gas emissions for calendar year 2006 and requires the State to reduce statewide greenhouse gas emissions by 25% from 2006 levels by 2020. The State is also required to develop and adopt a specified plan, adopt specified regulations, and implement specified programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
