Glendale Water and Power (GWP) offers a rebate to its medium and large business customers with electric bills of more than $3000 per month (electric usage of 250,000 kWh annually ~ $36,000 per year) to encourage energy efficiency through the Large Business Incentive Program. The incentive amount is based on the projected cost of the efficiency improvement and the amount of energy saved through the measure. The incentive is capped at 20% of paid labor and materials costs for approved retrofit projects or 100% of the incremental costs to bring a remodeling and/or new construction project above the minimum Title 24 energy standard. There is also a maximum limit of $50,000 in incentives to one customer per fiscal year.
