This legislation contains provisions for gas and electric utilities. As part of these regulations, electric utilities are required to file with the Public Utilities Commission a document regarding their minimum rates for the purchase of electricity generated from renewable resources and produced by a small renewable power facility that has a capacity of 100 kilowatts or less.
