Central Air conditioners must be 5 tons (60,000 BTU) or smaller systems and ENERGY STAR® qualified.
|Installation Requirements||All work must be done by a Florida state licensed Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Ventilation (HARV) or mechanical contractor that is a GRU partnering Contractor.|

Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) offers incentives to large commercial customers for upgrading the energy efficiency of their facilities. Vending controls are free through the program while custom rebates are eligible for a rebate of $400/kW or $0.08/kWh, whichever is greater. New facilities and facilities retrofitting old equipment can take advantage of the custom rebate program. Projects with a simple payback of less than 1.5 years will be compensated at half of the calculated rebate. Rebate payments are limited to $100,000 through this offering.
