Legal Document- Statute: Federal Energy Administration Act

Abstract
Congress created the Federal Energy Administration Act for the purpose of conserving scarce energy supplies; insuring the fair, efficient, and reasonably priced distribution of energy; promoting the expansion of readily usable energy sources; and assisting in the development of policies and plans to meet the energy needs of the Nation. In passing the Federal Energy Administration Act, Congress also created the Federal Energy Administration to collect, assemble, evaluate, and analyze energy information.
