|Equipment Requirements|| Homes must be Energy Star certified, 85 or lower HERS index, and at least 15% more efficient than the International Residential Conservation Code (IECC) 2006.
Entergy Texas offers an incentive to builders in its service territory for the construction of Energy Star certified homes. The efficiency requirements can be met through a combination of insulation measures, efficient windows, air sealing, efficient HVAC equipment, duct sealing, etc. Builders receive up to $300 for each Energy Star Certified home, plus an additional $50 if the home also includes the Advanced Lighting Package (ALP). Additionally, attached homes are eligible for rebates based on square footage of the home. Rebate payments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis for homes that have submitted the application and proper documentation to the utility.
