Entergy Texas offers an incentive to builders in its service territory for the construction of Energy Star certified homes. The efficiency requirements can be met through a combination of insulation measures, efficient windows, air sealing, efficient HVAC equipment, duct sealing, etc. Builders receive up to $300 for each Energy Star Certified home, plus an additional $50 if the home also includes the Advanced Lighting Package (ALP). Additionally, attached homes are eligible for rebates based on square footage of the home. Rebate payments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis for homes that have submitted the application and proper documentation to the utility.
