Energy West - Montana offers low- and no-interest loans for conservation measures and improvements such as new furnaces, water heaters, windows, etc. Customers may borrow up to $2,000 at no interest or $5,000 at a low interest rate of 4, 6, or 7 percent, depending on how much is borrowed. The payback period and monthly payments vary, based on the total amount borrowed.
Any Energy West - Montana residential or commercial utility customers may apply, providing the following conditions are met:
- Loan credit application is approved by one of the participating financial institutions.
- Applicant's utility bill with Energy West is current.
- Loans can only be used in existing construction, not for new construction.
