Water Heaters: must have an energy factor of 0.91 or higher and be enrolled in the Off-Peak Water Heating Program



Installation Requirements Central A/C and heat pumps must be installed by a registered HVAC-certified contractor

Summary

Elk River Municipal Utilities provides rebates to their residential electric customers who purchase and install Energy Star rated appliances and HVAC equipment. Eligible equipment includes:

  • Central and room A/C
  • Air-Source and geothermal heat pumps
  • Clothes washers
  • Refrigerator Recycling
  • Water Heaters

In order to receive rebates for appliances, rebate application must be jointly filled out with appliance dealer. Installation of central A/C and heat pumps must be done by a pre-approved HVAC-certified contractor.
