This program was offered between 2005 and 2010. It is no longer offered as of 2011. The information provided here is for reference only. Efficiency Vermont offers a rebate for the purchase of a plug-in vending machine controller - specifically a VendingMi$er product - which can power down a vending machine at low traffic periods and save over 50% of energy costs in low-traffic areas.
Efficiency Vermont offers a rebate of $45 for each unit. Similar products may also be given a rebate, providing approval by Efficiency Vermont. Additionally, the vending machine must be installed inside; outdoor installations require demonstration of energy savings to Efficiency Vermont. To receive an incentive, complete the application that is found at the website above. Those who pay the System Benefit Charge are eligible to apply for this rebate; those who live in the City of Burlington can contact their utility directly.
