Distributed Generation Performance Database

Use the tabs below to gain access to the Distributed Generation Performance Database where you can review and download DG system performance test reports. This resource may also contain data collected utilizing the interim versions of the protocols. The primary changes incorporated into version 1.0 of the protocols is the inclusion of fuel cells. The database also stores sets of high-level data that you can query to view a snapshot of the results of each test, making it easy to select test reports of interest to you. No final reports are available for long-term monitoring sites because they do not have an end date. High-level data for these sites are available and are updated regularly to reflect the latest site operation. For more detailed data about long-term monitoring sites, users are provided a link to a Web site run by the company in charge of continuously collecting and storing data from these sites.

Submitting Data and Reports to the Database

The Distributed Generation Study Database stores system performance test reports that have been collected according to defined protocols. If you have a distributed electrical generation system that has been or is being tested according to one of the Distributed Generation Testing Protocols, you are encouraged to submit your test data and report to the Distributed Generation Study Database.

Two databases are currently operated and supported by the protocols, the national database on this site and a New York database maintained by NYSERDA.

Instructions for Submitting Data and Reports

The steps for creating and submitting a Distributed Generation Study are:

  1. Create our Distributed Generation prime mover(s)
  2. Create your Distributed Generation heat recovery system(s)
  3. Create your site data
Create Distributed Generation Prime Mover

Enter the name of the manufacturer and the model number of the prime mover into the field, then click the Create or edit button to create the prime mover and to be directed to the form where you will fill out the additional information:

Enter the name of the manufacturer and the model number of the heat recovery system into the field, then click the Create or edit button to create the heat recovery system and to be directed to the form where you will fill out the additional information:

Distributed Generation Studies

Study types are based on the Distributed Generation Testing Protocols of which there are four: the laboratory test protocol, the field test protocol, the long-term monitoring protocol and the case study protocol.
