Description:
This rate is applicable to single-phase services of a single character, where the Consumer permanently installs and uses an earth-coupled heat pump as the major source of heating and cooling of the residence. For this rate to be effective, the Consumer must inform the Cooperative in writing of the equipment installation and receive approval by the Cooperative for the installation. The Cooperative may require a visual inspection of the installation prior to its approval. Individual electric motor sizes are limited to 10 hp and smaller.

NOTE: Tier of 250 kWh is actually 250 kWh per ton of Earth Coupled Heat Pump Capacity.
