Conceptual Model At Raft River Geothermal Area (1980)
Exploration Activity: Conceptual Model At Raft River Geothermal Area (1980)
|Exploration Activity Details|
|Location||Raft River Geothermal Area|
|Exploration Technique||Conceptual Model|
Determine the relevant data necessary to assess a geothermal reservoir in similar rock types and use cross plots to potentially define the producing zones.
A conceptual model was developed that uses all geophysical data that has been collected on the area to determine the rock types and reasonable values of the parameters of interest. Emphasis has been on developing a simple interpretation scheme from a minimum of data sets. However, the cross plotting of various parameters has allowed a determination of rock types and an analysis of the degree of alteration and the density of fractures.
