Climate information user session
IMPROVING LINKS BETWEEN USE AND PROVISION OF INFORMATION TO SUPPORT ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE
Are you going to be in Bonn for the UNFCCC inter-sessional talks this month? Are you an active user of climate information? Would you like to engage with some of the leading knowledge brokers in the sector and help them shape the future of their services? As part of the 2012 Climate Knowledge Brokers Workshop, an interactive session is being held for information users. It will be in Bonn, from 13.00-17.30 on the afternoon of Saturday 19 May 2012, during the middle weekend of the UNFCCC talks. It is aimed at decision makers, negotiators and practitioners who are active in the climate and development field.
The Workshop is being co-convened by CDKN and GIZ, and this session will be led by IISD and IDS. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. This is a unique opportunity to meet the people who design and run the websites, portals, and knowledge platforms that you use in your day-to-day work, and learn about other services that could also be of use. The aim is for knowledge brokers to get users’ feedback on the challenges they face, and the gaps that need to be filled.
The invitation below contains more details of the session. To register, please complete the registration form and return it to Sissy Sepp by email (email@example.com) or by fax (+49-6196-79 80 2425) by Monday 14th May. If you plan to attend, we also ask that you complete the questionnaire below and bring it with you on the day. This will help us better understand how you use climate information.
