Cleveland Utilities, in collaboration with the Tennessee Valley Authority, offers an incentive for its residential customers to build energy efficient homes which reach a score of 83 on the Home Energy Rating System (H.E.R.S.). Homes receiving an 83 point rating can be eligible for a $300 rebate. Multi family dwellings receiving an 83 point rating or above can be eligible for $100. Homes must be all electric. House plans must be submitted to Cleveland Utilities before construction begins to be eligible for the rebate.
