CERTs are tasked with developing and implementing community-based energy programs, and are meant to give citizens a voice in the implementation process and provide a broad-based resource and communications network that links local, county, and regional energy efficiency and renewable energy project efforts around the state. There are seven CERT regions, covering the entire state.
