Permit applications for buildings registered with the US Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for New Construction, Core and Shell, Commercial Interiors or Schools, which are pursuing a certification level of Silver or higher will be granted an expedited plan review from the city. To be eligible, project teams must also include a LEED Accredited Professional or hire a consultant with such qualifications. Projects must also submit a LEED checklist showing which LEED points are being pursued and applicants must sign an agreement stating that projects will be built as indicated in the approved site plan.
