The Center for BioEnergy Sustainability, or CBES, is a Center at Oak Ridge National Laboratory with a focus on "dealing with the environmental impacts and the ultimate sustainability of biomass production for conversion to biofuels and bio-based products."[1]

Center capabilities include providing evaluation of or training on feedstock resources (quantity, quality, cost and utility) and feedstock production including approaches that would enhance sustainability (environmental, economic and social) in the context of different cultures. The ORNL Center for Bioenergy Sustainability provides biofuel end-use evaluation and compatibility with existing infrastructure.
